Spread a Little Holiday Cheer: Top Gifts from Adirondack Winery

Despite the warmer weather we have been having lately, I assure you, the holidays are here! Unless you are a holiday superstar, there is still shopping to be done and question marks next to some people’s names. While some of them may have been naughty, most of those names have been perfectly nice; You just can’t find what you are looking for; or maybe you just haven’t had the time.

I’m here to save you some time and point you in the right direction, and that direction is Adirondack Winery! I assure you that your name will jump to the top of everyone else’s lists when they receive these one-of-a-kind gifts from you this year!

Here are my Top 3 Holiday Gift Ideas:

Holiday Wine Gift Box

This is my absolute favorite gift this year! Our brand new, beautiful wooden gift boxes don’t just make your favorite wines look pretty, they are functional as well! Once your wine is gone you can use this box as décor, to store your wine accessories like your corkscrews, bottle stoppers & coasters, or you can re-use the gift box to spread some holiday cheer (just don’t forget to replace the wine… that’s really the best part!)

Our holiday gift boxes are available in a dry and semi-sweet option. Click here to view & purchase our Holiday Wine Gift Box >

The Wine Tasting Experience

Giving the gift of an experience shows that you care and that you really put some thought into your gift giving. We’ve made it super convenient for you to share one of your favorite experiences with the ones you love this holiday season. Purchase a Premium Wine Tasting Session for two and an Adirondack Winery gift card for that special someone and they will enjoy our very best wine tasting session that includes 7 samples of our wines, fine cheese and chocolates as well as crackers and a locally-made spread. When they are done with their tasting, they can enjoy a care-free shopping spree to pick up their favorite wines and accessories! Click here to purchase a wine tasting experience. >

DIY – Holiday Cork Crafts

A gift made with love is the best gift of all and often the most fun! Over the years we have made our share of cork ornaments that have been a hit at Uncork & Craft events and Festival of the Trees. Here are 3 easy DIY Cork Ornaments that require little more than corks, a glue gun, sharpie & ribbon (you can include some paint if you are feeling extra festive!):

Cork Snowman

What you will need:

  • 1 Cork
  • A glue gun
  • Ribbon (1 inch wide or less)
  • String
  • Sharpies or paint

Directions:

Cut a piece of ribbon to the desired size. Tie a bow and adhere to the top of the cork with a glue gun or a push pin. Cut a small piece of string. Glue an end to the top back of the cork, just below where the bow is set. Take the other end of the string and glue on top of the first end, creating a loop which will be used to hang the ornament. Use your Sharpies or paint to create 2 coal eyes, coal mouth and a carrot nose! Let dry for at least 15 minutes before hanging on your tree.

Cork Angels

What you will need:

  • 1 Cork
  • A glue gun
  • Ribbon (1 inch wide or less)
  • String
  • Wooden craft balls
  • Black Sharpie

Directions:

Glue one of the wooden craft balls to the top of a cork (be sure to use a sufficient amount of glue and allow time to dry before moving to the next step). Tie a small piece of string in a bow around the neck to cover any excess glue. Cut a small piece of ribbon and tie it in a bow. Adhere the bow with glue to the back of the cork; These will be the wings. Cut another small piece of string and glue one end to the top, back of the cork (back of the neck). Take the other end and glue on top of the first end, creating a loop, which will be used to hang the ornament. Use your Sharpie to create the face of the angel. Let dry for at least 15 minutes before hanging on your tree.

Cork Snowflakes/Christmas Trees/ Candy Canes

What you will need:

  • 10-12 Corks per ornament
  • A glue gun
  • String
  • Paint / Small Paintbrush

Directions:

Assemble corks in desired shape and glue together (see image for shape ideas). Let set for 5-10 minutes. Take a small piece of string and glue on end to the top, back of the ornament. Take the other end and glue on top of the first end, creating a loop which will be used to hang the ornament. Let dry for another 5-10 minutes. Set up your paints and get creative! Let your paint fully dry before hanging your ornament.

The best part of this gift idea? You’re going to need to start drinking some wine, if you’re going to have enough corks for these projects! Click here to stock up & get to work!

I hope this makes the rest of your holiday shopping a little simpler and a lot more enjoyable!

Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Cheers!
