Tucked in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains near Lake George, New York, Adirondack Winery was built on the belief that great wine should feel welcoming, adventurous, and meant to be shared. What began as a small Lake George winery tasting room in 2008 has grown into one of New York’s most recognized craft wineries — a place where locals and travelers alike gather to discover new wines, celebrate with friends, and experience the relaxed, joyful spirit of the Adirondacks.
From the beginning, the goal has been simple: create wines that anyone can enjoy. Today, Adirondack Winery produces more than 35 wines ranging from dry reds and crisp whites to the fruit-infused wines that have become a signature of the brand. Using grapes sourced primarily from New York vineyards, each wine reflects the creativity and sense of place that make the Adirondack region so unique.
As the winery grew, so did the experiences it wanted to offer guests. Adirondack Winery’s Lake George tasting room has welcomed visitors from around the world for more than a decade, while the opening of its 14,000-square-foot winemaking facility and tasting room in Queensbury in 2022 created an exciting new destination just minutes from the lake. There, guests can enjoy wine tastings, craft beverages, food, live music, and private events — all while watching the winemaking process happen right on site.
Innovation has always been part of the journey. In recent years, Adirondack Winery expanded its craft beverage lineup with Extreme Heights Cidery, inspired by the 46 High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains and the adventurous spirit of those who climb them. The cidery continues to grow with creative seasonal flavors and canned ciders that bring the Adirondack experience to even more people.
Behind every bottle is a passionate team dedicated to quality and creativity. In 2024, Adirondack Winery welcomed winemaker Courtney Rankin, bringing fresh perspective and expertise to the winery’s growing portfolio. The wines continue to earn recognition throughout New York State, including multiple Gold Medals at the New York Wine Classic.
Community has always been at the heart of Adirondack Winery’s mission. Through its annual Drink Pink campaign, the winery has raised tens of thousands of dollars for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the Adirondacks — rallying customers, local businesses, and supporters throughout the region to make a meaningful impact.
Adirondack Winery is also proud to host the Adirondack Wine & Food Festival in Lake George, one of the region’s most celebrated culinary events. Each summer, thousands of guests gather to enjoy wineries, craft beverages, artisan foods, cooking demonstrations, live music, and unforgettable Adirondack views.
Today, Adirondack Winery continues to grow, innovate, and welcome new guests into its story. Whether you’re stopping in for a tasting, enjoying cider on the patio, attending a special event, or sharing a bottle with friends at home, the goal remains the same.
As a family-founded business deeply rooted in the Adirondack region, the vision is to continue growing, evolving, and sharing these experiences with new generations of guests for years to come.
To create craft beverages and experiences that bring people together and celebrate the Adirondack lifestyle.
