Welcome to the Adirondack Winery website. By accessing this website or placing an order, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below.

The terms “Adirondack Winery,” “we,” “our,” or “us” refer to the owner of this website. The term “you” refers to the user or purchaser.

We reserve the right to modify these policies at any time without notice.

All content on this website including text, graphics, logos, and images is the property of Adirondack Winery unless otherwise noted and may not be reproduced without permission.

Your use of this website and any disputes arising from its use are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of New York.


Legal Drinking Age

You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase or receive alcoholic beverages from Adirondack Winery.

By placing an order, you confirm that:

• You are at least 21 years of age
• The recipient of the shipment is 21 years of age or older
• The wine is for personal consumption only and not for resale

All wine deliveries require an adult signature (21+) and valid photo ID at the time of delivery. Carriers are not permitted to leave alcohol shipments unattended.


States Authorized for Direct Shipment

Due to varying state laws, Adirondack Winery can ship wine only to states that allow direct-to-consumer wine shipments.

We currently ship to the following states:

Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

Wine shipping laws change frequently and availability may change without notice.

Some states may impose annual or monthly limits on direct wine shipments.


Shipping Carriers

Orders are shipped via UPS Ground or FedEx Ground depending on destination state.

Shipping services are facilitated through our licensed compliance and shipping partners:

VinoShipper (UPS Ground)
Shippo (FedEx Ground)

Because these partners generate the shipping labels, customers may receive tracking emails from VinoShipper or Shippo instead of Adirondack Winery.


Order Processing

Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days (Monday–Friday).

Once shipped, delivery time varies by location but typically ranges from 2–6 business days.


Weather Holds

Wine is sensitive to extreme temperatures. To protect wine quality, shipments may be temporarily delayed during periods of extreme heat or cold.

Orders may be held when temperatures exceed approximately:

90°F during warm months
20°F during winter months

If your order is delayed due to weather, we will notify you.


Delivery Requirements

Wine shipments require:

• A recipient 21 years or older
Valid photo ID
Adult signature upon delivery

Carriers cannot leave wine packages unattended.

Carriers typically attempt delivery up to three times before returning the shipment to us.

We strongly recommend shipping to an address where someone age 21+ will be available Monday–Friday between 9am and 5pm, such as a business address.


Failed Delivery & Returned Shipments

If delivery attempts are unsuccessful and the shipment is returned to Adirondack Winery, the following policies apply.

Scenario 1 – Customer does NOT want the order reshipped

We can issue a refund for the order; however:

The refund will be reduced by:

• The original shipping cost paid by Adirondack Winery to send the package, and
• The return shipping cost charged to us by the carrier

These costs will be deducted from the refund.


Scenario 2 – Customer wants the order reshipped

We are happy to attempt delivery again.

However, the customer will be responsible for:

• The carrier fee charged to us for returning the shipment, and
• The shipping cost to send the package again

These charges will be billed before the order is reshipped.


Damaged Shipments

If your shipment arrives damaged, please contact us within 3 days of delivery so we can assist in resolving the issue with the carrier.


Taxes

Wine shipments are subject to applicable state and local sales taxes and alcohol excise taxes, which vary by destination state.

Taxes are calculated automatically at checkout.


Pickup Orders

Orders may be picked up at our tasting room locations.

Please allow up to 24 hours for order preparation during business hours.

Customers will be notified when their order is ready for pickup.

Orders must be picked up within 13 weeks.

If an order is not picked up within that time:

• the wine may be returned to inventory
• a $25 restocking fee will apply
• remaining funds will be issued as store credit
