Adirondack Winery Holiday Wine Guide

The holiday season is here, and so too is all that comes with it. Wrapping presents, holiday parties, or just a dinner for two, we have the perfect wine for any occasion! Here are our favorite wines for the holiday season ... and some awesome recipes and tips to go with them! Enjoy!

Adirondack Winery 2017 Holiday Wine Guide

1. Red Carriage (Cranberry-Infused Red)

Temperatures are dropping, leaves are crunching, and the smell of Thanksgiving dinner will be filling your home before you know it. Capture the romantic feel of the holiday season with Red Carriage! This holiday season exclusive is semi-sweet, light-bodied and crisp, with notes of fresh cranberries balanced nicely with acidity and light tannins. It makes an incredible mulled wine too!  Try Red Carriage>>

2. Dry Riesling (Dry White)

It's time to change your mind about Riesling! "Red Cardinal" is dry, light and fresh, with subtle notes of red delicious and gala apples, lemon lime soda, ginger, honey and nutmeg. We think it pairs best with poultry and mild cheeses, making it a perfect option for any holiday celebration.  Try Dry Riesling>>

Holiday Wines - Chardonnay & Cabernet Sauvignon

3. Chardonnay (Dry White)

Our Chardonnay is completely unoaked, allowing the true fruity characteristics of the New York Chardonnay grape to show through. It's an extremely versatile white wine with notes of golden delicious apple. We like it paired with poultry and seafood, but you really can't go wrong with this one. And the best part, you can get the same unoaked Chardonnay you love with a special edition holiday label!  Try Unoaked Chardonnay (holiday label)>>

4. Cabernet Sauvignon (Dry Red)

We love this wine so much, we made a special holiday label for it too! Dynamic fruit tones, beautifully balanced with oak, (and a gorgeous label) make this wine a great addition to your table centerpiece. It's easy drinking and pairs well with just about anything from cocktail hour to dessert!  Try Cabernet Sauvignon (holiday label)>>

5. Pinot Noir (Dry Red)

When you just don't know what wine is going to work best, reach for a bottle of this Pinot Noir. This wine is medium-bodied, offering aromas and flavors of black cherry, raspberry and strawberry, followed by buttery toasted tones and a smooth finish. It's extremely versatile and pairs well with just about anything from red meat and poultry to spicy seasonings to your favorite cheeses.  Try Pinot Noir>>

Rich and decadent says it all! This deep, red dessert wine is full-bodied and offers an intricate melange of black cherry and dark chocolate flavors. Whether paired with a bowl of ice cream or enjoyed as dessert itself, it's a great way to cap off a chilly winter night.  Try The Good Life>>
