Adirondack Winery Raises $20,000 for Making Strides!

The numbers are in and THANKS TO YOU our 10th Annual Drink Pink Fundraiser was one for the record books!

With the support of our INCREDIBLE customers, employees, families, and friends, this year's Drink Pink campaign raised an unprecedented $20,000+ for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the Adirondacks! We beat our $15,000 fundraising goal and set a new record, raising over $5,000 more than last year! Over the past 10 years, Adirondack Winery has raised over $100,000 for Making Strides!

And while it is certainly a pleasant surprise, we knew we could count on our team to exceed our hopes from Day 1! Our Adirondack Winery family rocks and because of all of you, breast cancer patients in our very community will receive critical, life-saving programs and assistance that will make a real difference in their lives!

Wine Bottle Candle Making

This year's fundraiser kicked off in September with the sale of our limited-edition Drink Pink Berry Breeze, a mixed berry-infused semi-sweet rosé with a limited edition pink cap and label. We sold more than 800 bottles by the end of the fundraiser.

Once again, we held our highly anticipated Drink Pink Uncork & Craft events as part of our fundraising efforts. Two candle-making events with Wax 'n' Wix and a wooden sign-making class at our new Queensbury Tasting Room raised over  $1,400.

Our raffle baskets were another big hit! Throughout the month of October, we sold raffle tickets for a chance to win gift baskets full of amazing prizes. These baskets were a HUGE hit, with a total of  $2,300 worth of tickets sold! ALL proceeds of these baskets were donated to Making Strides

Congratulations to our basket raffle winners:

Lake George Getaway Raffle Basket: Grokey B. of Mohawk, NY
Queensbury Raffle Basket: Theresa H. of Gloucester City, NY
Drink Pink Quilt: Melissa T.

A special thanks to the local businesses who helped make this possible:

Lake George Steamboat Company, Boardwalk Restaurant, Holiday Inn Lake George, Creations by DM, Great Escape Lodge, Barkeater Chocolates, The Queensbury Hotel, and The Log Jam Restaurant.

On Sunday, Oct. 23, our team rallied for the Making Strides Walk at City Park in Glens Falls. We were the top team both in fundraising and the number of participants. Together, the teams raised a total of $62,065 for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the Adirondacks.

Adirondack Winery is so proud of our team and proud to support an amazing organization like Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. The funds we raised together will be used to support breast cancer research, transportation to and from chemotherapy, a live 24/7 cancer helpline and so much more.

We hope you will join us next year as we continue our mission to help make cancer a problem of the past with our 11th Annual Drink Pink Fundraiser!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for supporting this cause that means so much to our company, our staff, our families and our friends. We are so grateful for your help and we can't wait to do even better next year!
